After eight years of violence, families in Syria have once again fled their homes in fear for their lives. The ongoing war in Syria has reached new proportions, with the intensifying conflict and violence threatening millions of children and families. Ground forces, air strikes and sniper fire are causing the deaths and injuries of many civilians on a daily basis.
To date, the Syrian crisis has displaced more than 5.4 million refugees. Up to half of them are children under the age of 18.
